DEDICATED pupil Simon Quick is to receive the Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Award for his outstanding commitment to Kingdown School and the community.
The 18-year-old, will be presented with the award in a ceremony at the Warminster school today to mark his tireless work.
Simon has been at Warminster Community Radio (WCR) for seven years, where he has worked his way up to manager. He was a key player when Kingdown FM broadcast on a temporary licence for a week in March.
A school spokesman said: "Simon Quick has been chosen for the award because of his inspirational qualities that are demonstrated through his commitment and work in the field of radio broadcasting and community fundraising. We at Kingdown School are very proud of Simon."
The Diana award was launched across the UK in April 2000 and is given to selected students nominated by their schools.
