WILTSHIRE LEAGUE: TITLE favourites Corsham booasted their chjamces with a 3-1 win over Marlborough.
Ross Hall sealed the game for the home side with a strike in the last five minutes. Earlier Scott Evans and an own goal by Lee Blanchard had given Corsham the lead.
Steve Dean pulled a goal back and they looked as though they they were capable of sharing the points until the late strike by Hall.
A hat-trick from Scott Lane helped New College to a 5-1 win over Devizes Town Reserves to keep to the Swindon outfit's hopes of the Wiltshire Premier Division title alive,.
With the sides level on a goal apiece at the break, Lane hit a cracking volley from the edge of the box, chipped the keeper from 45 yards for a second and volleyed in another unstoppable effort for a third. John Edmunds and Mark Chatwin completed the scoring.
College boss Pete Horwat said : "I thought the lads were superb in the second half, probably the best they have played all the season. Scott hit a brilliant hat-trick you wouldn't see a better goal than his first on the television all weekend."
Cricklade also stayed in the hunt with a 4-1 win over Bromham Martin Swaddon and Adam Smith scoring a brace each.
Westbury survived a first-half bombardment from AFC Stratton to snatch all three points with a disputed goal from Steve Bruce.
Stratton manager Tony Dyer said: "We slipped back into our old ways of not taking our chances. Saying that their winner was well offside."
Calne kept up their title bid with a 2-0 win at Melksham, Chris King netting just before the break and Mark Sharratt making sure in the second half.
Bradford Town will meet AFC Stratton in the final of the Corsham Print Senior cup following their 2-1 semi-final victory over Pewsey.
Junior One leaders Down Ampney gained a 5-1 home win over Aldbourne with two each from Arthur Levitt and Terry Moore and one from Rory Sporle.
Wroughton's hopes of catching the leaders were dashed by Blunsdon United who registered a 4-1 away victory. Craig Green (2), Adam Lincoln and Pete Grifiths doing the damage with Dave Webb on target for the home side.
Ferndale Rodbourne became the first side to complete their fixtures after losing 3-1 to Blyskawica, Dave Jones (2) and Peter Cahill for the visitors and Sam Bown for Ferndale.
Marlborough Reserves and Westside drew 2-2, Westside going two up through Steve Shaw and Mark Connelly with Danny Sly and Robin Simpson replying.
Top match in Junior Two resulted in a 4-1 win for Castle Combe over leaders AFC Abbey Rodbourne.
Stratton St Margaret won 6-1 at Blunsdon United Reserves.
Chiseldon Castrol were the day's highest scorers, beating Westside Reserves 11-0. County Ground also reached double figures beating Bromham Reserves 10-0.
