A FREE-SCORING five-minute spell dismissed any fears an upset may be on the cards when Corsham travelled to Bridport on Saturday.
Two goals from Toby Colbourne and one from Alan Griffin saw Corsham continue their good form with Griffin adding a fourth on 60 minutes.
Corsham gaffer, Colin Bush, said he was happy with the result as a number of players were out through county commitments.
Reverting to a 3-5-2 formation for the first time, his players adapted well.
"My hand was forced and I had to play three at the back and, when it bedded itself down, it went very well.
"The first half was reasonably even and we probably shaded it. There were a few chances but they all flashed across the box or went over the bar.
"In the second half the front two were excellent. Sometimes you get one without the other but we had them both playing well on Saturday.
"Alan was back to his normal form and he was playing at a good pace and he was chasing everything down. Toby has always done well for me."
Within a minute of the restart Colbourne was put clear by a long ball before he finished from inside the box.
The second saw a move down Corsham's right with a cross met by a Griffin header before Colbourne then robbed the defender before sliding the ball past the home keeper.
The victory was secured ten minutes afterwards when Griffin headed home for a second time.
