LEE McWade, 19, of Talbot Road, Trowbridge, admitted being drunk in a public highway when he appeared at Chippenham magistrates' court on Thursday.
Michelle Hewitt, prosecuting, said McWade was spotted lying on the pavement in Park Street, Trowbridge, at 2.30am on March 26.
McWade also pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis after police found 0.7g on him. He told the court he used the drug to relieve pain caused by a back problem.
He was fined £50 for being drunk, £50 for possession of cannabis and ordered to pay £43 costs.
