THERE will be a public meeting in mid-May to discuss the future of allotment sites in Swindon.
The meeting is being held to campaign against development on allotment sites including Pickard's Field.
The Adver revealed last week that Swindon's largest allotment could be sold off for development, netting Swindon Council £5.6m.
Labour ward councillors from West Swindon, including Coun Kevin Small, are opposed to a sell-off and a petition has been started.
The date, time and location of the meeting have not yet been confirmed.
