GREEN BAIZE completed the first leg of a potentially stunning treble with a resounding victory in the Wiltshire Sunday Cup.
Tony Bedwell's side triumphed 4-0 against Sailsbury outfit Royal Oak in an eventful final at Wootton Bassett's Rylands Way.
The Swindon Sunday League's domination of the competition continued with a seventh successive win for one of its member clubs, following the success of Greyhound, Juventus and County Ground in recent times.
The Baize were always in control once Shaun Carter had headed them into a first-half lead.
TJ Bohane and an own goal stretched their advantage and Mark Harper rounded off a comprehensive victory.
The game turned sour in the second half, with a mass brawl breaking out and both sides having a man sent off substitute Phil Coulson was shown a straight red for Green Baize.
Bedwell and co can expect a tougher time when they bid to add two more trophies to the collection in the next fortnight.
An intriguing clash with stablemates Green Baize United awaits next Sunday in the final of the Sunday League Knockout Cup.
A week later they face old rivals the County Ground in a straight showdown for the Division Two crown.
After picking up the first piece of silverware, delighted manager Bedwell said: "That's one down, two to go."
