SWINDON residents are divided on whether the Brunel Centre was right to drop development plans.
Capital and Investment Trust Group, which bought the shopping centre for £130m last month, said it would not be carrying out expansion plans. Forty-three per cent of people, who responded to an Adver phone poll agreed they were right to drop it. Fifty-seven per cent disagreed.
A year ago the previous owners, Westfield, announced £150m plans for an overhaul of the centre, but then put it on the market.
