WHEN Swindon Borough elections were held did the voters give councillors the right to sell off our inheritance of green spaces with impunity?
Next to be built on, the Front Garden, land around Coate Water, and the County Ground, which were bought for all of us for recreation.
In addition allotment land, most playing fields and open spaces are gradually being sold off by slices.
With new houses and apartments being constructed without gardens it is imperative all green spaces are retained for everyone to use.
Are our councillors dominated by developers who apparently look upon the town to make money and then move on?
There appears to be no forum for debate on the detailed future of Swindon in a rational, non-political manner.
