LIDEN Primary School have qualified for a national football final.
Their under 11 girls team finished as runners-up in the South West regional final in the section for primary schools with more than 100 pupils.
They now progress to the national under 11 six-a-side finals due to be staged at Keele University on Saturday, June 18, where they will face seven other teams from around the country.
Liden beat Even Swindon 2-1 to win the Wiltshire championship and earn the right to progress to the South West regional final, held at Lydiard Country Park.
Nine teams from different counties competed, with Liden finishing top of the group.
In their opening game they drew 0-0 with Hardwicke Parochial (Gloucestershire) but then beat Lytchett Matravers (Dorset) 1-0.
Another 1-0 success followed over West Kidlington (Oxfordshire) before a 1-1 draw with Downsway (Berkshire) secured them top spot in the group.
In the semi-final Liden defeated Boringdon (Devon) 2-0, but suffered their first defeat of the day when losing 1-0 in the final to Yeo Moor (Somerset).
Despite the loss, Liden still went through to the national finals.
