NEIGHBOURS in roads off Kingshill have their orange boxes, and I expected something to be on the doorstep when I came back from a week away after Easter.
No just a note saying I had been missed out of the booklet and my collection dates for black and green sacks were the same. This didn't make sense, so I eventually managed to contact the recycling dept who said that we weren't included. This seems ridiculous to me, and also means that I still have to spend 20 minutes plus in the car queue at the recycling depot, aka tip, as nowhere else takes cardboard. It strikes me that this is not a very cost effective use of my time, car, petrol or anything else. Presumably the recycling lorries go past my house but aren't stopping, so why can't they? Alternatively please provide other recycling points for our cereal boxes etc.
