MOTORCYCLIST John Roff has been found guilty of careless driving after he undertook a car at 90mph on the M4.
The 41-year-old self employed software engineer weaved through a queue of cars between the Leigh Delamere services and junction 17 as he made his way home from work, a court heard.
He was cleared of dangerous driving by a jury at Swindon Crown Court but convicted of careless driving on Friday.
Roff, of Folly Lane, Lacock, was riding home on his J-reg BMW 1,100 bike on June 10 last year when he was seen carrying out the manoeuvre by a police patrol.
The court heard Roff was so shocked by his behaviour that he paid to go on a driving course.
Roff was fined £750 and had seven points put on his licence.
