MELKSHAM battled both Brislington and a waterlogged pitch to pick up a vital away point on Tuesday night.
Player-manager Lee Burns said the game would have been called off if it had not been so late in the season. Simeon Allison scored after 18 minutes after good work by Nick Ridout put Liam Byfield clear, who crossed the ball in for Allison to finish.
On the stroke of half time Brislington tapped in an equaliser and, with ten minutes left, Burns came on and got a crucial flick on for Chris Beesley to tuck away.
However, immediately after the restart Melksham failed to clear their lines and Brislington scored another equaliser.
Melksham play at Bridport on Saturday and Torrington Monday.
