SURVIVAL specialists Swindon Supermarine have done it again. A convincing 2-0 win over Cinderford at Gloucester City last night due to the state of the home side's pitch ensured the men from Hunts Copse will be playing Southern League football again next season.
The deadlock was broken on 20 minutes when Dave Slattery linked with Steve Davies and produced a tidy finish.
Chris Copp then headed against the bar, but safety was secured early in the second half when Giles Harris was brought down in the box by former Marine loanee Luke Buttery.
Harris picked himself up and netted from the spot, allowing Mark Collier's side a chance to relax for their final game against Ashford on Saturday.
Shrivenham are distracted from their quest for the Hellenic One West title this evening when they host Ardley in the semi-final second leg of the Supplementary Cup.
