A WOMEN'S soccer team in Marlborough is looking for more members so that it can take part in league games.
Marlborough Town Ladies FC has been running for about 18 months and its ten current members train on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm to 8pm at the Elcot Lane ground.
Theresa Merritt, one of the founder members, said: "At the moment we have ten ladies who train regularly every week.
"We need as least four or five more.
"No football experience is necessary as we are trained by three of the Marlborough Town FC coaches.
"We have been training for 18 months and now we would like to enter a ladies league but without sufficient numbers we cannot go ahead."
Mother-of-two Mrs Merritt said the soccer training was an excellent way of keeping fit.
"It's good fun, too, as the lads who train us make it as enjoyable as possible."
Players have to be 15 or older to be able to play in FA league games. Marlborough Town FC has agreed to sponsor the side with its playing kit.
Andy Deery is managing the team and anyone who would like to play should ring him on 07876 240120.
