DEVIZES angler Danny Williamson picked up four awards at Poole Dolphins Sea Angling Club in Dorset.
Williamson, 46, who is a business partner at Devizes Textiles, picked up trophies for Boat Champion 2004, Wrecking Champion 2004 and Fish Points Champion 2004 as well as a Bronze Certificate from the National Federation of Sea Anglers (NFSA) for a Specimen Cod.
Williamson picked up the award from the NFSA for his 20lb 4oz catch which measured well against the record catch for that area.
Due to his performances this year Williamson, who is a Senior Angling Coach for the National Federation of Anglers (NFA) South West and South Wales region, will now compete against other club champions from across the south coast in the Champion of Champions prestige competition. Williamson also tasted success as a coach, leading the Devizes Angling Association junior side to first and second place finishes in the national regional team championships last year.
Two weeks ago he was approached to become an England youth talent spotter for the NFA. The former junior European Champion said his success last year would push him on for more.
He said: "Over the series I did well and in the boat fishing I came mainly first and second so I collected a lot of points quickly. I was pleased to win the awards. They will keep me going and spur me on to do well this year.
"I love fishing and it's in my blood and my father doing it. It gets in you and the challenge of fishing takes over."
