Samantha Moaby and Paul Webb meet Steve Goulding Picture Ref: 76871-27AN Old Town hotel is hoping to give our Bride Of The Year winners a reception to remember.
The Goddard Arms Hotel, the biggest sponsor in our competition, will be providing the reception venue for our winning couple.
And winners Samantha Moaby, and Paul Webb, both 30, are pleased they will be able to enjoy their reception in such luxurious surroundings.
Events manager Steve Goulding is looking forward to working with the couple, of Archer Close, Kingsdown.
Samantha, a part-time sales assistant, said: "The hotel is brilliant. It's lovely. Steve has been really kind to us. The room that we will be in is like a big ballroom, it's great."
The hotel has been providing the reception venue for the competition for five years.
Mr Goulding said: "Each year is special to me and each wedding is so different, which is why I like to be involved in this prestigious event."
The Goddard Arms Hotel has been licensed to perform civil ceremonies in all of its function suites.
The Pleydell Suite can hold up to 30 people and is ideal for small ceremonies. For more guests, the Lawn Suite can hold up 80 people.
The largest suite is the Georgian Ballroom with gold chandeliers.
Mr Goulding said: "The hotel can cater for up to 180 people for any reception and also offers a menu for day and evening receptions."
The hotel currently has an offer for people who are planning to tie the knot. Grand Wedding For A Grand, is a package offering a ceremony and wedding reception in one.
The deal includes a civil ceremony, followed by a Bucks Fizz reception and wedding breakfast, including house wine for up to 25 people and sparkling wine for the speeches.
The package can cater for up to 50 people and costs £1,000.
If you are planning a reception for more guests Mr Goulding says the deal can accommodate more people.
The hotel still has some availability for this year and is taking bookings for 2006 and 2007. For more details call 01793 692313.
