Vince Treen's triumphant hat trick of tries, on his return from injury, was eclipsed by a massive eight try haul from 18-year-old Guthrie Holliday.
A mix of Calne's first and second team sides stepped in to play Wiltshire's Fire Brigade after the latter were let down by their scheduled opponents on Saturday
Holliday got the scoreboard ticking over in Calne's favour when he slashed through the Brigades defence, who were clearly unprepared for the South African's pace and deceptive strength.
Treen, recently recovered from a dislocated shoulder, was next in line and scored with his first touch of the oval ball since injury.
It wasn't long before Holliday had picked up his first half hat trick with two more line splitting excursions and Treen added his second.
Burly prop Mick Dyer pounced on a loose ruck ball and steamed over for the next score and centre, James Gladding got the backs rolling again thanks to Paul Jenkin's jinking run. Holliday wrapped up the half with his fourth.
The second half followed the same pattern. Holliday collected another four tries, and Treen collected his first hat trick for the club.
Gladding had the last say. Jenkins unlocked the brigade's defence in the dying moments and the field open up in front of him. But he lost he nerve, or responsiveness from his legs, and kicked ahead. They flying Gladding beat, the cover to score.
Calne venture in to deepest, darkest Dorset next week for their tour weekend in Weymouth.
