THANK you is the theme for Red Cross Week which this year runs from May 18. During this week staff and volunteers will be raising money through events, house to house, street and private premises collections, to enable us to continue to support people in crisis in Wiltshire.
We do this through our emergency response teams, through first aid training for the public and first aid at public events. Our volunteers provide therapeutic care for people in hospitals, care homes and prisons.
The response in Wiltshire for the tsunami appeal, through the Red Cross, raised an amazing £130,000, £10,000 in the first few days. We need your support again during Red Cross Week.
The final event of the week in Wiltshire will be an Open Garden at Brook House, Bromham on Sunday, May 8 from 25pm. Come along and help us celebrate the birth date of our founder Henri Dunant in this magnificent garden.
For further information on Red Cross week, offers of help, or the Open Garden please contact Mary or Linda on (01380) 730131. For donations please send to The Red Cross, Gains Lane, Devizes, SN10 1QU.
