I TOTALLY agree with cyclists being fined £30 when riding in the shopping/pedestrianised area, a deterrent which I feel is totally overdue.
I also feel that cyclists should have this fine applied when cycling on all pavements not just the Brunel shopping centre.
Quite often I am exercising my dog on a lead and either my dog or I have almost been knocked into by a cyclist.
If you say anything to them, the cyclist either ignores you or you get a mouthful of abuse or two fingers put up.
On more than one occasion we have almost been knocked over.
It seems that no particular age group commits this offence, it can be a senior citizen, middle aged person, a person in their early 20s or children (but most are male!).
I would like to commend people for riding their bikes, but can I please ask all cyclists to use the cycle paths and roads?
It won't be very pleasant for you if someone is seriously injured by your inconsiderate riding and you may also sustain injuries ending up in hospital or even in court.
