New College's hopes of playing in a higher grade than the Wilts Premier were left in tatters after Bradford Town inflicted a 3-0 defeat on the Swindon side, writes RAY BURROUGHS.

College were soon in trouble when sloppy defending allowed the visitors' top scorer Steve Roddy to give his side an interval lead.

Midway through the second period Russell Francis was brought down and Tom Pang made no mistake from the resulting penalty.

Dave Watkins then gave the home side an interval lead but that was cancelled out by Darren Legg.

With a draw looking likely Watkins scored a late winner.

AFC Stratton warmed up for their Corsham Print Senior Cup Final next weekend with a 2-2 draw with Devizes.

Tom Restell gave Stratton the lead with a superb diving header but two goals from Simon Drewitt put the visitors in the driving seat before Jimmy Wright equalised.

Pewsey Vale picked up a useful win 3-1 at Westbury. Barry Flippance and an own goal for the Vale with Jamie Bradley on target for United.

AFC Abbey Rodbourne finished their first season in the Wilts League with a 3-1 win over Chiseldon Castrol. Ricky Oliver, Arron Tucker and Eddie Gordon netting for the leaders who could yet be overtaken by Castle Combe 7-1 winners against Westside Reserves.
