MOTOROLA employees have raised £10,700 for anti-bullying charity Kidscape.
The cash came from offices all over the country including Groundwell in Swindon and was matched by the company which put in another £10,000.
Fundraising activities ranged from raffles to a stop-smoking programme and a sponsored triathlon. Andy Garlick, a services product manager from Swindon, raised £1,309 in sponsorship by beating his personal best time in the London Triathlon. Andy completed a 1,500m swim, 40km cycle and 10km run in 2hrs 19mins.
Most of the money donated has gone to help schoolchildren near Motorola's five UK sites. In Swindon schools that have benefited include Bradon Forest, Catherine Wayte Primary, Commonweal, Covingham Infants, Ferndale Junior, Freshbrook, Peatmoor Primary, Robert le Kyng, St Joseph's, Westrop Primary and Wroughton Infants.
