The Big Kid CircusA NEW circus is coming to Swindon this week.
The Big Kid Circus will be opening at Buckhurst Recreation Ground in Walcot on Thursday.
Owner Kiril Kirilov believes he is offering something different from the traditional-style circuses.
He said his show tells a story and is raising money for charity.
"We were absolutely sick to the back teeth of the old style circus," he said. "Our show is a story about a small child who is sick. She meets a good fairy who gives her three wishes.
"Her first wish is to go to the circus. I won't tell you what the other wishes are, because it would spoil the fun."
The show includes Russian and Italian acrobats, Russian clowns, and dancers from the Moscow State Ballet School.
The circus has been raising money for BBC Children In Need, and a spokesman said they had raised £1,000 within six weeks of the show opening.
The circus will be performing in Swindon from Thursday until May 10. Tickets cost from £6 to £15 for adults, and between £5 and £13 for children, except on the first day when all tickets cost £4.99. Call 07766 552211.
