A KEY will be handed over to the new Mayor of Swindon, Coun Ray Fisher, to celebrate the completion of a new housing scheme.
The ceremony on June 17 will be held in Kingswood, Wroughton, where 13 shared ownership homes have been built.
Louise Barrow, of the Kennet Housing Society, which is behind the scheme, said: "We are very proud of this estate and are committed to providing affordable housing in the region."
Shared ownership offers people the chance to buy an affordable share of a home from the society and pay a rent on the remainder.
Coun Fisher will take over from current mayor Peter Stoddart at a meeting on May 20.
