A CHARITY and local people benefited from the opening of a new store in Westbury. Tesco Express opened on the Leigh Park estate on Monday and the store donated £500 to the community centre association.
Proposals for the community centre came about in 1998 when developer Persimmon Homes received planning permission to build the 800 houses.
Tesco Express snapped up the largest unit in a row of seven shops which have been let by Brian Fitchett, of Dreweatt Neate.
