ANTIQUE jewellery was stolen from a shop in broad daylight. Three antique brooches and an 18-carat gold ruby and diamond ring were taken from King Street Curios, Melksham, on Thursday between 11.30am and 4.45pm.
The haul was worth about £600.
The three brooches were all cameo style, one was decorated with the Three Graces, one with a fairy and the other with a king or queen's head.
Pc Ann Morris, of Melksham police, said a cabinet lock had been cut to get to the jewellery. Nobody noticed at the time and it was not caught on CCTV camera.
Any witnesses should contact Pc Morris at Melksham Police Station.
