DURDLE Door, Colley's Dog, Cornish Jack and Pure Gold were on sale for £1 in Seend on Saturday. These were some of the 40 different beers sampled by visitors to Seend's fifth Beer Festival.
About 500 people turned up at Seend Social Club on Saturday to try the tasty brews, which ranged in strength from Cornish Coaster, at 3.6 per cent alcohol to Moonraker, at 7.5 per cent.
Revellers relaxed in a tent outside the club, drinking beer and cider and tucking into pig roast.
Local beers on offer, costing £1 for half a pint, included Rev Awdry's Ale and Tunnel Vision from Box Brewery, as well as Flint Knapper and Gold from Ramsbury Brewery. Others had come from as far as Scotland.
Tony Daly, one of the organisers, said: "All the beers were popular and we didn't run out this year. We made sure we wouldn't.
"This is the fifth year we have done it and it is getting more and more popular every year."
He said most visitors had come from the Wiltshire area and everyone took home a commemorative glass, which said "Fifth Seend Beer Festival" on it.
The festival raised about £2,000, which will be spent on the upkeep of Seend Social Club.
The Black Sheep Band and Out-House Critics provided musical entertainment throughout the afternoon and evening.
