SINGING, maypole dancing, drumming and street theatre will all feature in a poverty awareness day tomorrow.
Two pop groups, made up of Wiltshire schoolchildren, will perform at the charity event in Westbury Gardens, Bradford on Avon, as part of the national Make Poverty History campaign.
As well as the poverty awareness cause, the free events are in aid of charities including Save the Children, Oxfam, Fairtrade fortnight and Christian Aid.
A peal of bells at 10am will mark the start of festivities with the two bands, StarBurstz and Triple K, performing at 1.15pm.
Val Hopper, chairman of A Right To Be Heard, Save the Children, said the bands were looking forward to performing.
"They are delighted to be involved in an event that will raise awareness about issues surrounding poverty, particularly those involving child poverty, and they hope that people will go away with a greater understanding of what needs to be done," she said.
"It will be a real children for children scenario and we hope that lots of people will show their appreciation of the groups' performances by making a donation on the day."
White wristbands symbolising the poverty campaign will be on sale.
