A KITCHEN worker at Dorothy House Hospice has been caught drink driving. Keith Draper, 49, of Winsley Road, Bradford on Avon, was caught more than three times over the legal alcohol limit.
Michele Hewitt, prosecuting at Chippenham magistrates' court on Thursday, said police had been tipped off that Draper was drink driving on the A365 in Corsham at 8.30pm on April 9. When they tested his breath he had 111mg of alcohol in 100ml breath, more than three times the legal limit.
Michael Wills, defending, said: "It is a high reading and this man does accept that he does have an alcohol problem."
He said Draper, who works in the kitchen at the charity hospice in Winsley, had already sought help and had not touched a drop of alcohol since being caught.
Magistrates adjourned the case for pre-sentence reports to be prepared.
Draper, who pleaded guilty to drink driving, was released on unconditional bail until June 6. He was disqualified from driving until his next court appearance.
