SILVERWARE-laden Sam Parkin has been made privy to the mystery bid for his services but is not expecting any rapid developments.
The 24-year-old is your choice as the Evening Advertiser Player of the Year after another glorious campaign.
It will be the second time his name will be engraved on the famous old trophy but the big question is whether he will be around to make it a hat-trick?
Parkin scooped more than 80 per cent of the votes with Grant Smith and Sean O'Hanlon second and third respectively.
Parkin will receive his accolade ahead of today's clash with Chesterfield at the County Ground.
He is expected to enjoy a clean sweep of all four main awards, including the Swindon Town Supporters Club award and the trophy presented by TrustSTFC.
Those same fans who have heralded his displays are anxious to know what his plans are for 2005-6.
Parkin said: "We'll wait and see.
"The manager's made me aware that there have been a few people enquiring but until there's a formal bid I'm sure it'll remain a little bit hush-hush.
"At the moment it's all up in the air and I'd be surprised if there's any activity before the end of June, start of July.
"I have another year left and for the time being I am still a Swindon player and will be returning here for pre-season.
"I'm sure there's going to be some column inches filled over the summer."
As for his second triumph in the Evening Advertiser Player of the Year stakes he said: "It means the world to me.
"I've had a good relationship with the supporters since I've been here and to win this award is a great feeling.
"Fortunately I've continued to score goals and the supporters seem to appreciate that.
"I think this has been my best year personally in terms of my all round game as well. I love it down here, it is a great club.
"We've some good players, a good stadium and a great training ground.
"Really we should be pushing to get into the Championship."
