16994NINE celebrities are preparing to get down and dirty as the second series of reality television show The Farm starts on Monday.

The Wiltshire Times got a sneak preview yesterday and met comedy interior design duo Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan, who will host the show, as well as heart-throb taskmaster farmer Ryan Hooper.

The identity of the celebrities are being kept top secret until the opening night but James Major's ex Emma Noble, DJ Emma B, porn star Ron Jeremy, former footballer Mark Bosnich and even Monica Lewinsky have all been linked to the show.

Colin and Justin have spent the past week at Richard Guy's East Hill Farm in Heytesbury, honing their lambing, milking, mucking out and feeding skills ready for the celebrity onslaught. They warned the celebrities are set to have a tough time.

This year as well as having to get up at the crack of dawn they will all have to share one bedroom and will be caught on video by cameras in the showers.

Colin and Justin, wearing identical green overalls and brown shoes over their ironed shirts and Gucci watches, said they are undaunted by their new environment despite being more used to luxury city pads.

Justin said: "We are both confirmed metropolitan city blokes but to come down here and see what sort of life Farmer Ryan leads is a bit of an honour. All this is what puts dinner on our tables."

Colin said: "We don't have anything to worry about but the celebrities have got so much to worry about because it's going to get really tough this year. If they want milk in their coffee then guess what, it's not in the fridge. If they want vegetables they will have to dig them up."

Justin added: "We have got to treat the animals far better than we treat our celebrities because the celebrities have a chance to answer back."

Farmer Ryan, who confessed he prefers animals to celebrities, said the celebrity farmhands would have to work hard. "I'm not in the mood to compromise in any way, shape or form. I don't like them taking over the farm. These are my animals," he said.

The former rugby player, who will be joined by his pet goose Gobby, said: "For me this programme is absolutely serious. For me all I care about is the animals and how farming is perceived by the outside world."

Farm owner Richard Guy, who will be living on the farm with his wife and two teenage daughters, said: "Colin and Justin seem great fun and they even brought their own cat with them so they are obviously very fond of animals."
