MANY parents are still confused about cot death, a new survey shows.
Next week is Baby Safety Week and The Foundation For The Study Of Infant Deaths is pushing the message that the safest place for a newborn to sleep is in a cot in the parents' bedroom.
The survey showed many parents bedshare with their babies at some point.
Experts say this significantly increases the risk of cot death.
They add that falling asleep while sitting in an armchair or sofa with a baby is also dangerous.
