I WAS pleased to read the article about people's outrage over the plans for the development over at Coate Water.
Swindon Council is now out of control. Georgina Mason was right to say that this is a breach of democracy.
We have a voice and should be listened to. The way the council acts is despicable and should not be allowed.
It has no respect for people's leisure activities and absolutely no respect for wildlife and history.
You only have to look at what has been built on and pulled down in the past.
If any other business acted in the way the council does, without a doubt their customers would go somewhere else.
We have nowhere else to go so a council can do what it wants, charge what it wants and build where it wants.
Before it's too late we need to make a stand.
Clearly people aren't happy about the development so the council should listen. If not, it's time to make a protest.
