77341-05A TWO-MILE run was one of the events at a Wanborough day of fun yesterday. There was also a two-mile walk which included a family nature trail.
All the events at Hoopers Field, in Rotten Row, were aimed at raising funds for the Wanborough Village Playgroup.
The day kicked off at noon with a number of children's events, including several races and potato-and-spoon time trials.
The main fun-run started at 1pm, and the two-mile walk at 2pm.
There was also a bouncy castle and face-painting, and refreshments including a barbecue provided by local scouts. Everybody, including adults, completing the walk or the run was given a goody bag to take home.
The organisers were pleased at the high turnout for the event but they were not yet able to confirm how much cash was raised for the playgroup.
