SPECTACULAR American jet fighters are making an appearance at the Royal International Air Tattoo this July.
Two American F-15E Strike Eagles based at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk will be making their way to the show at RAF Fairford on July 16-17.
Air Tattoo organisers hope that the F-15Es, which will be on static display, will come from the 492nd Mad Hatters Squadron and the 494th Panthers Squadron.
However there is some bad news for enthusiasts as two rare aircraft which had been due to appear have been forced to cancel because of operational commitments.
A rare US Navy Hawkeye surveillance plane and two French Navy Etendard jet fighters will now not be appearing.
But organisers are working with the US Navy to try and get another example of the Hawkeye, which is a rare sight in UK skies.
Advance tickets for the show are priced £29.95. Tickets on the gate are £35.
Children aged 15 and under go free.
