Police have said the trouble in Swindon town centre has dropped. But, from a taxi driver's point of view, on Easter weekend you could not go round a corner without seeing drunken brawls all over the town.

The police had a hard time stopping them obviously they were under-manned. Can someone explain why this was so?

We are also seeing a major increase in crime and we want to know what is going to be done.

All this is due to the pubs and clubs continuing to serve people who are already drunk, so when we get to pick them up some can't even stand up, let alone a walk.

Pubs and clubs should be made to pay more towards the cost of policing after all they make more money if people drink more so why not make them more responsible for it?
