A TEENAGER has told a jury of his horror when he woke up in a bedsit to find the occupant trying to rape him.
The 17-year-old said he fell asleep after Soran Mohammed had plied him with vodka and woke to find he was trying to have sex with him.
But Mohammed, 35, told police that he had given the youngster a massage.
The teenager, who cannot be named, had gone to Mohammed's home on Theobald Street in the town centre last summer to have a drink.
Giving evidence by video link the teenager told a jury of eight women and four men how he bumped into Mohammed in the town on Monday, July 26.
They had both been passing the clock at the junction of Canal Walk and Regent Street in the late afternoon when Mohammed asked the young-looking teenager for a drink.
The pair, who had met up several times before, exchanged mobile phone numbers and agreed the boy would call at 10pm the following day.
Mohammed, who works at BMW, bought the teenager some cigarettes and gave him vodka to drink while they watched an action film.
After having a lot to drink the boy said he fell asleep.
"The only reason I did wake up was I thought he was trying to penetrate me," he said.
He told the court that his tracksuit trousers had been removed and his shorts and pants pulled down round his ankles.
Mohammed, of Theobald Street, denies a charge of attempted rape.
The case continues.
