THURSDAY
Former Conservative leader William Hague will give a talk on being a young politician at the Arts Centre at 12.30pm.
Michael Buerk will talk about his autobiography, On The Road Taken at the Arts Centre at 6pm.
John Redwood explains what the Tories must do to win back the trust of the British people at 8pm at the Arts Centre.
At the fringe
AUTHOR Alex Moulding visited King William Street School yesterday to show children artwork from her new book, as part of the fringe literature festival.
Tonight Fletcher Harrington and Topeka play their brand of country rock at the Beehive pub on Prospect Hill at 9pm, after Nicholas Fogg talks about his book The Voyages Of The SS Great Britain at 7pm in the pub.
Tomorrow Swindon storyteller Tom Harris and friends will be appearing at the Beehive at 8.30pm for a night of tales.
And Thursday sees a visit to the Beehive at 8.30pm from Jasper Fforde, the author who sets his futuristic detective novels in a surreal version of Swindon.
