TWO Swindon teams were in top form at the Spring Festival at Butlins last weekend.

Croft Juniors Under 12s won their tournament while Old Town United reached the semi-final stages before bowing out.

Teams from Oxford, Gloucester, Devon, Wales, Birmingham, London, Coventry, Manchester and Southampton took part in the tournament, but Croft came out on top.

Croft finished group runners-up as they booked their sem-final spot.

Oxford Blackbirds were their semi-final opponents and they saw them off with a 1-0 win thanks to Josh Skeates' goal.

In the final they faced a very strong team in Loass FC from London.

Croft went ahead after just 10 minutes with a stunning free kick from Henry Finegan.

Loass battled back well and forced some cracking saves from Croft goalkeepers, George Penfold and Ryan McCarthy.

However, Croft held on to take the trophy.

Old Town United Under 11s managed to reach the semi-final stages of the Spring Festival of Football at Butlins in Minehead last weekend.

The team put in some assured performances before losing in the semi.

Wesley Perry won the Butlins outstanding Moment Award for the Under 11 age group for a wonderful individual goal.
