Npower CEO Andrew Duff with run organiser Zoe Eccleston Picture Ref: 77369-8EMPLOYEES at a Swindon-based company joined their boss on a three-mile fun-run.

Andrew Duff, the chief executive officer of RWE npower, took part in the run in Lydiard Park along with almost 70 members of staff.

Zoe Eccleston, physiotherapist at the company, which is based at Windmill Hill business park, organised the race.

She said: "The sun came out and it went really well. It was designed to advertise safe and healthy exercise.

The chief executive led them really well, upsetting most of the staff by being so fit."

Zoe is donating £1 for every runner to Comic Relief and the company is matching everything she can raise.

She reckons the run has raised around £300.

She said: "There's a lot of research from America showing that if you leave your desk at lunchtime and do some form of exercise, you feel better and your productivity goes up in the afternoon.

"We consider it an important priority to encourage employees to maintain a good work-life balance and take time out to keep themselves fit and healthy.

We're delighted that this event is so well supported by staff."
