AFTER the near daily arrival of Mr Tomlinson's face through my letterbox, I asked one of his canvassers how they could afford to produce so many high quality glossy leaflets and was told that they were supported by a team of "very dedicated, hard-working fundraisers".

I was also assured that they would be covering the cost of recycling all the leaflets too.

Now that the team will have plenty of free time on their hands over the next five years, could I suggest that they redirect their energies into some worthy charitable causes? I am involved with a disabled charity which is in need of funds for its summer activity programme and would benefit enormously from such a hard-working and evidently resourceful team.
