GAZETTE & HERALD: BRISTOL University Singers will perform a special concert at St Bartholomew's Church in Corsham to mark the official launch of the brochure for Corsham Festival 2005.

This renowned group of 30 singers will perform some of the greatest works from the choral repertoire, encompassing music from the renaissance to the present day.

Director of Corsham, Festival Nicholas Keyworth said: "The Bristol University Singers are a renowned group of singers who tour regularly and have recorded programmes of contemporary and earlier music,"

"In the beautiful setting of St Bartholomew's Church, this concert will include some of the greatest choral pieces ever written and will see the launch of our exciting programme for Corsham Festival 2005."

The concert will also feature Three Shakespeare songs by Vaughan Williams, Five Flower songs by Benjamin Britten, Julian Anderson's Saw Eternity and Colin Matthews' Estrangement.

Tickets for the Bristol University Singers concert, which is on Saturday. May 14 at 7.30pm, will cost £10 and are available from The Pound Arts Centre box office on (01249) 701628.
