HOPE'S Kitchen, an antidote to the hit celebrity chef TV show Hell's Kitchen, proved a winner at Malmesbury Abbey.
More than 100 people came to see the production which was put on by the Riding Lights Theatre Company, a Christian group which is based in York.
The professional acting group put on the show in the Abbey last Saturday and even managed to include some cooking in the production.
The Rev Neill Archer, vicar of Malmesbury Abbey, said that everyone enjoyed the show immensely.
Mr Archer said: "We had a fantastic night. There were four young actors who brought us a series of stories linked by a message of hope.
"One story was about an old church falling to bits and another was about a broken marriage. Many of the children who came really enjoyed it.
"In one scene the actors actually baked a loaf of bread and shared it with the audience. It was a great touch.
"I think the production was a reminder to everyone that, when our lives break down, we find hope.
"I would say a story which talks about marriage breakdown is relevant to any community."
