Organisers of Brinkworth Country Show plan to make this year's event the biggest and best ever by attracting a more diverse audience.
For the last seven years the show has been held in the village attracting crowds of up to 7,000 people.
Committee members from the Brinkworth Heritage Society hope at least 10,000 people will visit the show on September 4.
Ken Cooper, Brinkworth Show chairman said: " Last year we had a good turnout with 7,000 people but we want 10,000 people this year. We want to attract more youngsters
"Brinkworth is the longest village in England and we want to put it on the map."
Among this year's attractions will be a fibre-glass climbing tower where climbers can pit their skills against each other in a competitive format.
There will also be quad bikes and a 4x4 off-road area where visitors can drive vehicles.
A new event this year is have-a-go angling in which visitors fling a fishing line onto a target in a pond.
The show traditionally features aspects of country life, and this year is no exception. But the very popular horse show, which was part of last year's show, will be a separate event this time.
