MID WILTS YOUTH LEAGUE: KANE Greenaway made sure of the points for Marlborough Town as they romped to a 3-1 win over Warminster Highbury in the U16 Red Division.

Hosts Town took a 2-0 at the break with both goals from A Mair. Highbury showed great spirit in the second half and were soon back in the game at 2-1.

But a defensive error gave Marlborough's Greenaway the chance for a fine tap in to finish the game at 3-1 to the home side. Referee Mike Day had an excellent game and duly deserved the ten marks awarded.

Melksham Park finished their season on a high with their seventh win after running out 3-2 winners at Trowbridge Wanderers. Elliott Hinton scored both goals for Wanderers.

U15 Green Division

SAINT Andrews inflicted the first defeat of the season on Melksham Town in an exciting 2-1 midweek home game.

The hard fought first half ended with no goals which seemed to lift St Andrews, resulting in two goals in the second half from Sam Jordon and Tom Giles.

Melksham fought back with wave upon wave of attacks which were repelled by outstanding goalkeeping from Craig Rankin and courageous defending by Jo Flowers, Dan Gear, Ben Hogg and Josh Felix.

Melksham Town didn't give up and were rewarded with a late goal.

Following the midweek success, St Andrews only had to draw at home against Westbury to ensure promotion. They scored early in the game and held the lead until the second half when three goals from Jordon (2) and Dudley Philpott provided St Andrews with a 3-1 win and league promotion in their first season. Matt Mead scored for Westbury.

Champions Melksham Town Youth ended their season with a 6-0 home win against Devizes Blues with goals from Pete Tye (2), Shaun Bennison, Ross Crighton, Will Hibbard and an own goal.

Melksham will meet Blue Division Champions, Chippenham Town Youth this weekend in the League Cup Final at Melksham Town.

U15 Blue Division

HOME side Trowbridge Town Youth and opponents Chippenham Town Youth both needed three points to clinch this season's title.

The game was close throughout but an end result of 4-3 gave Chippenham the championship. Trowbridge saw goals from Craig Sheppard, Liam Milburn and Toby Dawson.

Aaron Thornborough gave home side Salisbury City the lead in their game against Frome Town Sports. Frome put up a good fight but a second for Salisbury through Simon Beaven and no reply sealed the victory.

Phil Wootten gave hosts AFC Corsham a first half lead against Greenmeadow Youth. Corsham gave a great team performance and further goals from Jake Pegler and Sam Bliss gave them their first win of the season at 3-0.

A first half goal from Will Fisher and two second half strikes from Jack Woolling sealed a 3-0 win for home side FC Chippenham against Bath Arsenal.

U11 Division A

CHAMPIONS Warminster Highbury finished their penultimate game of the season with a home win against AFC Corsham.

Highbury took a 2-1 lead in the first half before finishing 4-1 winners. Lewis Graham, Colin Damanski (2) and Conner Nisbet scored for Highbury.
