Daisy with one of her puppies Picture Ref: 77387-77IT MAY not be 101, but Daisy the Dalmatian has given birth to 14 puppies.
This is miraculous in itself but it is the second time the five-year-old has had a huge litter she had her first 14 in 2003.
Daisy's owners, Megan Twisk, 38, and Iain Ross, 32, of Rodbourne, never expected her to have any more puppies.
Megan, a project manager, said: "I was shocked. She's a family dog, we're not professional breeders.
"I don't know where she kept them, she wasn't as big as she was the first time around."
The pedigree puppies are now six-and-a-half weeks old, and every one is fit and healthy.
There are eight dogs and six bitches and each has already developed its own unique personality.
Megan said: "They're all very playful and are biting, chewing and generally destroying things."
The most mischievous of the bunch are Stuart and Hairy Two and they have been getting up to lots of trouble since they were born.
Megan added: "I can tell them all apart now, 12 of them have got proper names."
And, the puppies have started to eat real dog food.
Megan said: "To begin with we had to bottle feed them because there was not enough milk to go round.
"Now they are eating three times a day and they are still hungry."
Richard Gowshall, a vet at the Eastcott Veterinary Clinic, was shocked to hear Daisy had given birth to another 14 puppies.
He said: "This is a large litter and to have had it twice is very impressive.
"I've never known a bitch to go through this twice."
