THE Science Museum in Wroughton will be holding a 'night skies' event for astronomy enthusiasts.
Dr John Griffiths, a lecturer at the Royal Observatory Greenwich and an ex-curator of the Science Museum in London, will be giving the talk.
He will answer any question people may have about the skies.
And he will also de-mystify the stars and suggest what amateur astronomers should look for in the night skies during June and July.
Dr Griffiths said: "There is a lot you can see even with the naked eye or binoculars, especially if you have a stand to keep them still.
"Astronomy is not just for the specialists what most people need is a little bit of guidance so that they know where to look."
The lecture will include advice on what type of equipment enthusiasts need to buy and how much to spend on binoculars and telescopes.
Dr Griffiths will give guidance on how to get the best out of the equipment, which is available.
The free event will be held at the museum on Monday, June 6, from 7pm to 9pm.
