Lisa O'Brien, left, with her mum Debbie and community worker Pam Pixton Picture Ref: 77379-83A MUM and daughter are coming together to start a support group to help those with epilepsy.

Lisa O'Brien, 22, of Grantham Close has been epileptic all her life.

During her childhood Lisa experienced seizures but her first full fit was at the age of 17.

Although travel consultant Lisa takes medication, she said it doesn't seem to help.

Last Saturday Lisa had two fits in one day. But the worst was a month ago when she was at home alone and fell.

She injured her nose and wrist in the fall and was badly shaken.

Lisa said: "That really shook me up. It's given me the nudge to do something about it.

"There are no epilepsy support groups in Swindon."

Lisa's mum Debbie O'Brian, 44, is worried her daughter may be seriously hurt if she has a fit while she's at home on her own.

She said: "I want to help Lisa meet people and talk about how it makes her feel so she doesn't feel so isolated.

"It's not nice to see your daughter going through this, it's horrible.

"I worry about what's going to happen next."
