YOUNGSTERS from Wanborough Primary School have triumphed in a road safety quiz.
Fifteen Swindon schools went head-to-head in the competition, organised by Swindon Council, at the Ellendune Centre, in Wroughton.
Headteacher Chris Davis said: "We're extremely proud of their efforts.
"The quiz was part of our whole road safety awareness that we do in school and it's good to see it's sinking in."
The competition was open to years five and six and the winning team was made up of 11-year-old Peter Saunders, Rachel Watts, 10, and Laura Mills, 10.
It was the 15th year that the council has run the event and the winning team and their classmates received a trip to Swindon Town Football Club.
And Mr Davis was pleased at the timing of the quiz.
"We've just installed bike sheds," he said.
"So it's important to make sure the children know about road safety if they're going to be riding their bikes to school."
