Wiltshire play their last friendly match this weekend, against Hampshire's second team, before getting their Minor Counties Western Division campaign under way.
Wiltshire's first championship match is against Oxfordshire at Banbury at the end of the month, and the county field a number of youngsters against Hampshire 2nd, as well as Westbury's South African born batsman Joe Breet.
He, though, will not qualify for Minor Counties matches until 2006.
