16993/2A TEN-YEAR-OLD boy who completed a marathon is back at school this week without even a blister to show for his efforts.
George Galpin, a pupil at Dilton Marsh School joined nearly 2,000 other walkers and runners taking part in Wiltshire Wildlife Trust's annual Sarsen Trail on Thursday.
Proud mum Dawn, said: "He was so emotional when he got through the finish line. We are so proud of him."
Mrs Galpin and husband Graham joined their son on the 26-mile route between Avebury and Stone-henge, taking about eight hours to get to the finish.
The marathon is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the wildlife trust and last year raised £55,000 to help protect Wiltshire's natural heritage.
It crosses Ministry of Defence land normally closed to the public.
